Look for Facebook Like buttons across the web to connect with the things you care about and share them with your friends. When you click the Like button, a link to that page is added to your Facebook profile and a story is shared with your friends. That page can also keep you updated through your News Feed. Find out what your friends have liked, shared and commented on through the Activity Feed and Recommendations social plugins. These new plugins offer you the same control over what you can see and share as you already have on Facebook. You are at most welcome to like our live example:
The Style Like is a joomla content plugin, that allows to put like button to any article on top, bottom or by custom { flike } placeholder tag, as you can see above. You should consider to use this plugin with "Javascript SDK" plugin for better performance and smooth connection to Facebook.

+6#2Ryan at AutoAnything2010-09-24 02:28Hey, thanks for the great plugin and the FB SDK kit. I'm running into two issues with the "Style Like" plug-in:
1. It didn't seem to be capturing the URL correctly when using SH404SEF. It would snag the complete URL, but it would also append "index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id={$article->slug}&catid={$article->catslug}" to the end of the URL.
So I removed that line of code from the php file and now it discovers the URL correctly on the article page… that leads me to problem two.
2. The Facebook Like button appears on blog-type pages, but it only captures the current URL, not the URL of the article. Is there a way to keep the Like button from showing on the frontpage, sections and categories? Or is there a smarter way to make it grab the correct URL?
+2#1Kevin2010-09-18 01:05how do i get this working? enabled both plugins and set params but nothing shows up in my articles. also, what is the default params for the FB app id? much thanks.Quote
