J!Position 2

jposition 2 - drag and drop modules between positionsWith J!Position 2 you able to move modules from one position to another with drag and drop. It is one thing joomla! was missing all the way till now.

J!Position 2 is the culmination of 4 months of hard work since the release of the components 1.0 series. We sincerely hope you will enjoy the result.

As usual with a major release, a lot of work that is not directly visible has taken place. The core of component has seen more cleanups and current stability are the direct results of this work. The drag-and-drop page has been merged with the start page, so now you get all the functionality on a same page.

Would be EXCELLENT, IF, Frontend users could move some modules (as admin, you determine which modules can be moved) themselves, to arrange their own site !!
THAT would be brilliant, if you guys could do this??

I regret being critical, however, why is it every time someone authors a great feature for Joomla someone else always has a wish list for what it does not do. Please appreciate the tremendous work/skill that makes this a viable tool for everyone and not a what if scenario as EVERY joomla mod/plug-in/component would fall under that. If it does what it is supposed to do very well, that is perfect.

If you were blind and couldnt see then you shouln\'t be trying to download a product that would require vision to use. Also if you can\'t find the download link, LOOK harder it\'s a free link. They aren\'t going to stop everything and make everything easier for YOU. It\'s probably easier for them the way they have it so Ease Up and take some blood pressure meds everything will be ok

0 #5 Timbo 2009-05-10 12:07 I have been using J!Position 2 for a couple of days now. The component itself is extremely powerful and really takes Joomla CMS on a few levels. Its worth every single penny paid and more! I`ve notices that component made an order in my modules list, fixed it in ascending order. An Order Freak like me very appreciate it. Thank you. Quote

Well done! It`s awesome. I hope you will include drag `n drop for menu items in a next release. It would be so nice…

Good idea. We will include it to the next release along with several others improvements.

0 #2 bytebig1 2009-03-27 19:27 I just changed templates on several Joomla! sites and needed to change about 100 modules positions since the new templates used a different name for the position I needed to use. I started manually changing positions module by module and it took about 30 minutes to complete 20 modules. I downloaded J!Position2 with tree display and drag and drop capability and completed the remaining 80 modules in 15 minutes. This is a well conceived and thought out extension and I recommend it highly. It installed easily and the use was very intuitive. Quote
